Gillingham Football Club have signed Milton Keynes Dons defender Tom Flanagan on loan until January.

The 20 year old central defender has been drafted into the Gillingham squad by manager Martin Allen to increase comepetition for places, but won’t make his debut against Dover Athletic on Tuesday night.

Flanagan made his debut for the MK Dons against Carlise United in Febraury 2010 and has since made 28 appearances for the club, scoring three goals in the process.

The product of the Milton Keynes youth system and former captain of their under 18’s side went on loan to Kettering Town in 2011, playing 22 games for the non league club.
